Voice Mail

First-time setup of a voice mail box (initial use of the voice mail option):

1. Dial the toll-free number printed on the card back from any touchtone phone in the U.S., U.S.V.I., or Puerto Rico.

2. Listen for prompt and enter card number. Verbal instructions are given:

"Please enter the area code and phone number you would like to call now.
For other features, please press the star [*] key."

3. Press the star [*] key for a main menu listing of available enhanced features.

(All standard and enhanced features available on the card will be listed verbally).

4. Press two [2] to check voice mail.

5. The following instructions will be given to set up a new voice mail box for the first time:

"Please record a greeting that callers will hear when they access your voice mail box. Please record your greeting now. When you have finished your recording, please press the pound [#] key."

Note: If any key other than the pound [#] key is entered, the system will continue to record the outgoing greeting until the pound [#] key is correctly entered.

6. After recording a voice mail box greeting and pressing the pound [#] key, the following options are available:

"To review your mail box greeting, press one [1]. To erase and re-record your greeting, press two [2]. To save the greeting and continue, press three [3]"

Note: The card holder may review and re-record the greeting repeatedly until satisfactory.

7. To save the final voice mail box greeting, press three [3]. The system will provide an identification number for callers to use to access the mail box and leave messages for the card holder, as follows:

"You have been assigned a toll-free number and a mailbox I. D. number in order to leave messages in your voice mail box. Share the toll-free number and your mailbox I. D. number with anyone you want to be able to leave messages for you. The toll-free number is 1 - 888 - 570 - M A I L or 1 - 888 - 570 - 6245. Your mailbox I. D. is... [an eight to ten digit number]."

Note: To leave voice messages for the card holder, outside callers must have both the toll-free voice mail access number and the mailbox I. D. number assigned to the card holder. Messages may be left by calling the voice mail access number from any touchtone phone and entering the desired recipient's mailbox I. D. number when prompted.

8. After receiving the mail box I. D. number from the system, the card holder will be returned to the main menu automatically, and will be able to place a phone call or access available card features by pressing the star [*] key to obtain the enhanced features main menu.

Note: If the card holder forgets his mailbox I. D. number, he may hear it again at anytime by accessing option two [2] to check voice mail from the enhanced features main menu, and then selecting option three [3] when given the following verbal instructions:

"You have [quantity] new messages. You have [quantity] saved messages. To retrieve your messages, press one [1] (heard only if applicable). To change your greeting, press two [2]. To hear your mailbox I.D. number, press three [3]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9]."

To change an existing outgoing voice mail box greeting
(after initial setup):

1. Dial the toll-free number printed on the card back from any touchtone phone in the U.S., U.S.V.I., or Puerto Rico.

2. Listen for prompt and enter card number. Verbal instructions are given:

"Please enter the area code and phone number you would like to call now.
For other features, please press the star [*] key."

3. Press the star [*] key for a main menu listing of available enhanced features.

(All standard and enhanced features available on the card will be listed verbally).

4. Press two [2] to check voice mail.

5. Card holder is informed of quantity of messages, new and previously saved, and given verbal instructions:

"You have [quantity] new messages. You have [quantity] saved messages. To retrieve your messages, press one [1]. To change your greeting, press two [2]. To hear your mailbox I.D. number, press three [3]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9]."

6. Press [2] to change mailbox greeting.

7. Verbal instructions are given:

"To review your mailbox greeting, press one [1]. To erase and re-record your greeting, press two [2]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9]."

8. Press two [2] to record a new outgoing greeting. Verbal instructions are given:

"Please record your new greeting now. When you have finished recording your message, please press the pound [#] key."

Note: If any key other than the pound [#] key is entered, the system will continue to record the outgoing greeting until the pound [#] key is correctly entered.

9. After recording a voice mail box greeting and pressing the pound [#] key, the following options are available:

"To review your mail box greeting, press one [1]. To erase and re-record your greeting, press two [2]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9].

Note: The card holder may review and/or re-record the greeting repeatedly until satisfactory.

9. To save the last voice mail box greeting recorded, and continue (to access main menu features or place a call), press nine [9].

To check voice mail box for messages:

1. Dial the toll-free number printed on the card back from any touchtone phone in the U.S., U.S.V.I., or Puerto Rico.

2. Listen for prompt and enter card number. Verbal instructions are given:

"Please enter the area code and phone number you would like to call now.
For other features, please press the star [*] key."

3. Press the [*] key for a main menu listing of available enhanced features.

(All standard and enhanced features available on the card will be listed verbally).

4. Press two [2] to check voice mail.

Note: Card holder will not be automatically advised of existing voice messages. Card user must manually choose option two [2] to be informed of messages waiting in the voice mail box.

5. Card holder is notified of existing messages, new and previously saved, and given verbal instructions:

"You have [quantity] new messages. You have [quantity] saved messages. To retrieve your messages, press one [1]. To change your greeting, press two [2]. To hear your mailbox I.D. number, press three [3]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9]."

Note: There is a system limit of seven messages, up to one minute in length each, per voice mail box. All messages, including saved messages, will automatically be deleted from a voice mail box seven days after receipt.

6. Press one [1] to retrieve messages (if applicable; if no messages, press nine [9] to exit voice mail).

7. All stored messages will be played. Card holder will hear all new messages first (if any), followed by all previously saved messages (if any). System will verbally announce each message as either "new" or "saved." Upon completion of each individual message review, verbal instructions are given:

"To replay this message, press one [1]. To save this message and continue, press two [2]. To delete this message and continue, press three [3]."

Note: After the final stored message is played, the card holder must choose either option two [2] to save the message, or option three [3] to delete the message, (see above) before being able to exit voice mail and return to the main menu.

8. Once option two [2] or three [3] is chosen (see above) for the final voice message, the card holder will hear:

To retrieve your messages, press one [1]. To change your greeting, press two [2]. To hear your mailbox I.D. number, press three [3]. Or, to return to the main menu, press nine [9]."

9. To exit voice mail after reviewing voice messages, enter nine [9] to return to the main menu features or place a call.

Voice Mail Charges: The first time a new message is reviewed, the card is debited a set "transaction fee." The default setting for the voice mail transaction fee is one unit/one domestic minute for each new message accessed regardless of message length. The transaction fee is a one-time charge; i.e. the card is debited for the first review of a new message with no additional charges for replaying the message or reaccessing a message after it has been saved.
